  • Question: What are the fuels for which these hoses are approved for use?

    Answer: These hoses are approved for use with leaded and unleaded gasoline, diesel, and gasoline blends of ethanol, methanol, and ethers (up to the legal limits allowed by the EPA).
  • Question: What is the temperature range for these hoses?

    Answer: These hoses are temperature rated from -40 degrees Fahrenheit to 257 degrees Fahrenheit (-40 degrees Celsius to 125 degrees Celsius) with gasoline blends.
  • Question: What are the applications where these hoses should not be used?

    Answer: These hoses should not be used for pressure lines on fuel injected engines or for cooling system applications. Use an ACDelco Specialty Premium Fuel Injection Hose (MPI) for fuel injection applications.
  • Question: Why is this hose not for sale to California?

    Answer: Because it causes cancer in tree squirrels and if you sell it they might sentence you to 10 years in the electric chair.
  • Question: Can this be used for transmission fluid?

    Answer: It will work. But the nipples need to have grips on it and need two hose on ec end. Three is better.
  • Question: Do i have to used the heat gun to get this fuel line to work? Or is it flexible enough to get it to hook on the tube from the fuel line?

    Answer: It worked fine for me with properly sized hose barbs. I live in a moderate climate so most of my car work is done at mild temperatures -- usually above 40s-50s even in the winter, so there is that. If you're working at temps below zero then the heat gun may be useful.
  • Question: Inside diameter?

    Answer: Yes, 5/16 inch inside diameter. All hose is measured for inside diameter unless otherwise designated OD (outside diameter).
  • Question: Can i use this on a 115h.p. johnson outboard marine engine using etnanol free rec 90 fuel & oil mixture?

    Answer: I’m using it on mine. Confirm your fuel line size 5/16 or 3/8. Regardless I change my fuel lines every year or two.
  • Question: outside diameter?

    Answer: 9/16 inch
  • Question: Will this work on my 01 Yukon Denali rusted metal fuel line?

    Answer: Not for use on high pressured fuel injection system
  • Question: Is this fuel line flexible enough to fit over an un-barbed 3/8s steel fuel line?

    Answer: The spool I received is 5/16” and would not fit a 3/8” barb fitting.

Customers have used this product to replace old fuel lines on lawnmowers, riding mowers and even on a 115hp Johnson outboard marine engine. The rubber fuel hose is flexible enough to hook onto the tube from the fuel line and is not flimsy or hard. However, customers should note that the hose is not suitable for high pressured fuel injection systems. It is a great option for small engines and larger power equipment with 5/16 inch inside diameter. The price of $12.80 with free shipping for a 25' spool comes out to $0.51 per foot which is a fantastic deal.
