The product delivers a satin finish, although for some types of wood, it can vary from semi-gloss to satin. The product has received positive feedback from many customers -It has achieved perfect results when used on weathered maple wood snare drum shells, given a beautiful finish to the right kind of wood, and is a great product for wood overall. Some people have used it on laser-engraved wood, and it has performed well. However, some customers said that two coats of this oil left the wood tacky and plastic-like, unlike other finishes they have used before. One customer felt that the product was not appropriately labeled and should indicate the percentage of each ingredient instead of advertising it as Tung oil when it is closer to varnish.
