The boots have good threading for slip resistance and are heavier than most "fashion" rain boots on the market. However, they are comfortable to wear for hours, even with a second layer of socks. Customers with medium to wide feet and wide calves have found the boots to fit well. Unfortunately, the calf area is not suitable for wider calves, with the calf shaft measuring smaller than 18".
