Nutritionist's Take
Dynarex White Petrolatum is a topical product mainly used for moisturizing and protecting dry or cracked skin. While it is effective for minor skin irritations, it is essential to note that it is a petroleum-based product, which means it does not provide any nutritional benefits as it is not absorbed by the body. Regular use can help create a barrier that locks in moisture, making it suitable for those suffering from dry skin. However, some consumers may prefer natural alternatives due to concerns over synthetic ingredients. Additionally, it is important to be cautious when using this product on acne-prone skin, as occlusive agents like petroleum jelly can potentially exacerbate breakouts. Overall, while it has its uses for skin care, it does not meet dietary needs and should be considered more of a cosmetic product rather than a health-promoting one.
