- IELTS requires the ability to use English appropriately in academic situations and in daily real life. Therefore, the primary aim of this book is to develop ''English skills that are connected to knowledge and education'' and ''English skills that allow you to express your thoughts.''. This is the source of improving your IELTS score and raising your communication skills using English. This book analyzes topics that frequently appear on IELTS and classifies them into eight categories, each of which allows students to proceed with their studies in the order of listening, reading, speaking, and writing. While getting used to IELTS problem formats, you can deepen your interest in, knowledge of, vocabulary, and expressiveness about frequently occurring topics and themes. STEP1 “Build up vocabulary!” Learn related vocabulary, collocations, and example sentences to develop basic skills on topics. It also has a red sheet to assist with learning. STEP2 “Read aloud!” Now, read the paragraph repeatedly, which is about 80～90 words long. By inputting topical English sentences related to a topic along with background knowledge, you can create the foundation for solving problems. STEP3 “Focus on key points for IELTS!” Now, we will conduct intensive learning on one theme that is effective as a countermeasure against IELTS. Last STEP 4 “Exercise!” Then, try a shorter question in the same format as the actual exam. Check the steps and points to solve the problem, as well as explanations and precautions for the problem itself. Before entering the main story, Introduction ''Understanding IELTS in its entirety'' provides a comprehensive introduction to IELTS, as well as four sections that show the flow of the exam, evaluation methods, and countermeasures. You can also self-score the final mock exam (speaking and writing will be evaluated based on model answers), which can be used to confirm your ability and assignments. *An introductory edition will be published soon in the same series as this book.
