Doesn't the front roller flatten the grass before cutting it? Surely it needs to be stood up?

The mower cuts very short (it's adjustable) and leaves a striped finish.

Does this have a weighted rear roller?

Yes, it does have a weighted rear roller. The grass collector is cloth and not solid plastic.

Will this cut up to a fence? Or will it leave an uncut strip, and if so how wide?

It leaves a strip about 2-inch gap.

Do the handles fold down?

No, they don't actually fold down, but the top half is held in place by two lock nuts so they can be separated for easier storage.

I bought one of these secondhand and I haven't had the pleasure of using it yet because the mower will not go forward. Can anyone help?
